| Message | The Z32 was a little out of my price range for a DD. Anyway, after looking at RX-7s for about 6 months and driving quite a few of them(100% of them were uncared for and just $h!tboxes) I was driving by my local Nissan dealership 2 miles from my house and saw her sitting in their lot up on tall ramps to make it more visible. So I stopped in to see what it was all about. They wanted $21k for her('91 TT w/ 54k miles in '95) I took it for a test drive and was impressed, but as I was looking to spend around $8k I said "Thanks, I'll think about it." and left. For 3 weeks afterwards, I would drive by and there it still was. I was still looking for an RX-7, and still finding junk. Well, I stopped in again for another test drive. I was thinking, "Damn, this is a fine automobile" but just couldn't justify that much money for a DD, so I passed again. The next week they took it to a big dealership sale down at the dog track for a week-end "BIG CAR SALE" so I figured, oh well guess I'll never see that car again. The next Monday she was back at the dealership. That next Friday I went back and did another test drive and finally said "OK, I'll take it." Took her to a mechanic for a pre-purchase check-up, got a clean bill of health (good compression #'s & everything was functioning properly) Wrote it up for $18,500 with a 3 year/36 month extended service package included(I was nervous about turbo failure), drove it home, and I have never looked back, ......except every time I park it and walk away! I will still never understand why it wasn't snatched out from under me before I finally came to my senses, the car was in near perfect condition. I guess it was a romance that was just meant to be!
